I build products where trust is the core feature. Payments. Fintech. Telecom.
The kind of infrastructure where getting it wrong is not just a bad metric ;
it is someone's money on the line.
6+ years shipping products that actually change people's lives.
I work as a Product Manager on infrastructure-heavy products in payments, fintech, telecom, and SaaS. I have led and contributed to escrow platforms, cross-border payment systems, telecom dashboards, and lending products ; working closely with engineering, compliance, and operations.
My work lives at the intersection of product, risk, and execution, where trade-offs matter and clarity is essential.
I am also the co-founder of SAFETRANSACT ; building the escrow layer for Nigeria's social commerce market.
Built an escrow layer to close the trust gap in Nigeria's social commerce economy. Conducted discovery with 50+ vendors, designed dual-sided fee model, defined API-first architecture. Secured Bumpa partnership and CBN-licensed infrastructure via 9PSB.
Led MVP to V2 of a cross-border digital banking platform. Built the core banking engine, multicurrency wallets, in-house double-entry ledger, referral programme, FX comparison tool, and statement generation.
Redesigned self-service loan experience for Nigerian salaried workers. Moved top-up, liquidation, and repayments out of support queues and into the app. Introduced eligibility visibility upfront.
Unified telecom product flows, launched FTTH broadband availability mapping, and defined VoIP specs across SIP-based infrastructure. Improved delivery velocity through sprint planning.
Simplified blockchain investing for accredited users. Designed full onboarding, fund selection, KYC flow, investor dashboard, crypto payment gateway (USDT, BTC, ETH), and redemption. Live product.
Social commerce in Nigeria runs on WhatsApp and Instagram, but trust is broken. Buyers fear scams; sellers fear fake transfers. I led product from day one ; conducting discovery with 50+ vendors, designing end-to-end escrow flows covering buyer protection, seller confirmation, and dispute resolution. Built a dual-sided fee model and defined an API-first architecture for marketplace integrations. Secured CBN-licensed fund holding via 9PSB.
Key decisions: tiered pricing (1.5-3% buyer fee, flat seller fee), dispute framework with under 5% manual intervention rate, and API strategy that led directly to Bumpa partnership.
HelloMe Money was created to remove geographical barriers to payments for individuals and SMEs. I led from MVP through V2 ; building the core banking engine, seamless KYC onboarding, multicurrency wallets (GBP→EUR conversion), international transfers, and bill payments across mobile and web. Migrated from third-party processor to in-house double-entry ledger infrastructure.
V2 introduced monetisation (paid currency accounts), FX rate transparency tools, statement generation, referral programme, promo codes, and tuition payment flows for Nigerian students studying abroad.
I started as a UI/UX designer; which is why I can sit with engineers, read a Figma file critically, and spot UX gaps before they become product problems. Here's some of that earlier work.
Being first does not guarantee winning. A breakdown of what Chowdeck did differently to take the market Jumia pioneered.
